Oh Goosh!! Grandma Sparrow is playing a very select number of shows in the coming days and weeks to celebrate the release of his brand new debut album, Grandma Sparrow & his Piddletractor Orchestra, out May 20th. Before mounting the drums with his band Megafaun in DC and Brooklyn next week, Joe Westerlund will assume the role of everyone’s favorite grandmother and play the Piddletractor hits.

Then, Grandma will headline a few very special shows in Virginia and North Carolina. In Richmond, he’ll be supported by the improv comedy troupe Pigeon at RVA Comedy’s home base of the Coalition Theater. In Durham, Grandma will perform at the Pinhook on Saturday night  — with special guest DJ set by Matthew E. White — and Sunday brunch — perfect for the family. Both the evening and matinee will feature Alexandra Sauser-Monnig of Mountain Man.
